2021년 8월 베를린에서 초연한 하이너 괴벨스의 관현악 작품 [여인숙 . 나의 상상의 노트북]은 작곡가가 수집한 역사적 녹음, 여행 중에, 개인적으로, 또는 우연히 기록된 녹음, 그리고 그 녹음에 응답하는 오케스트라 연주의 형식으로 구성된 4부작 음악이다.
불레즈 [레퐁]에 대한 응답으로 시작해, 베를린의 공사장, 1914년 코미타스의 노래, 사무엘 베케트의 마지막 문장 등으로 이어지며, 20세기 인류의 문화를 반영하고 있다. 작곡가가 끊임없이 다루어 왔던 주제, 클래식, 민속음악, 재즈, 록이 한곳에 버무려진 변함없는 다채로움, 그리고 앙상블 모데른과의 유대감에 이르기까지, 하이너 괴벨스의 폭넓은 상상력에 찬사를 보내게 된다.
