The long awaited re-release of Consecration, known as Bill Evans' last live release! The Evans Trio, who performed with Mark Johnson - Pat LaBarbera at Keystone Corner, present a collection of gems of Evans' beloved music that will delight fans and non-fans alike!

"Consecration I" is a posthumous live album by legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans. The recordings were made during Evans' final performances at the Keystone Korner in San Francisco between August 31 and September 7, 1980.

"Consecration I" showcases Evans' characteristically introspective style, combining lyrical phrasing with intricate harmonic progressions. On the album, Evans forms a trio with bassist Marc Johnson and drummer Joe LaBarbera, delivering expressive interpretations of jazz standards and original compositions. Titles such as "You and the Night And the Music", "Emily" and "Someday My Prince Will Come" underline Evans' fine feeling and his masterful improvisation.
