지난 10여년 동안 돌연 음반계에서 사라졌던 고음악계의 위대한 거장, 앤드류 패롯과 태버너 콘소트 & 플레이어즈가 드디어 돌아왔다! 바흐의 ‘애도의 음악(Trauer-Music)’은 작곡가가 쾨텐의 레오폴트 대공의 죽음을 애도하면서 쓴 작품이다. 비록 안타깝게도 악보는 소실되었지만 음악 대부분이 다른 작품(마태 수난곡, 애도의 송가)에서 전용했기 때문에 악보를 복원할 수 있는데, 앤드류 패롯은 직접 복원한 이 곡을 바탕으로 1728년의 장례식과 추도식 과정을 음악적으로 복원했다. 지난 40여년 동안 함께 음악을 연주해 온 패롯과 태버너 콘소트 & 플레이어즈의 섬세하면서도 깊이 있는 연주는 여전히 큰 감동을 준다.
