2007년 이미 베토벤의 바이올린 협주곡 발매했던 이자벨 파우스트가 이번에는 클라우디오 아바도 그리고 모차르트 오케스트라와 함께 다시 한 번 이 곡에 도전한다. 2008년 아바도와의 첫 공연 이후 레코딩을 결심했다는 그녀는 아바도에 대한 무한한 존경과 그와 함께한 이 음반에 대해 최고의 만족을 표현하고 있다. 이미 앞 전 앨범에서 최고의 국제적 호평을 받았던 그녀가 이번 녹음을 통해서 보여주려는 것을 뭘까? 파우스트의 말대로 이전 앨범과 이번 앨범은 전혀 다른 해석에 의한 전혀 다른 앨범이다. 전체적으로 여유있는 템포, 물 흐르듯 자연스러운 보윙 그리고 폭넓은 음악의 아우라. 겨우 4년의 시간을 두고 음악적 성장과 더불어 동일한 작품에 이렇게 새로운 해석을 보여주는 이자벨 파우스트에 그저 놀라울뿐이다. 베르크의 바이올린 협주곡은 19살에 요절한 말러의 부인 알마의 불륜의 딸 마농 그로피우스를 위한 곡으로 파우스트는 음악 내면의 고통과 슬픔을 잘 나타내고 있다.
