아누쉬카 샹카(sitar)/ 데이비드 머피/ 런던 필하모닉 오케스트라
라비 샹카는 인도의 민속 악기인 시타르를 세계적으로 널리 알린 거장 연주자이며, 작곡가로서도 다양한 장르에 걸쳐서 작품을 남겼다. 2010년에 초연된 교향곡은 그가 서구의 통상적인 오케스트라 편성을 위해 완성한 최초의 작품으로, 자신의 상징과도 같은 악기인 시타르로 표현되는 인도의 독특한 정취가 강렬한 인상을 남긴다. 신보는 초연무대를 담은 것으로, 작곡가의 딸인 아누쉬카가 시타르 독주를 담당하였다.
